Brief Task Description The Centrifugal Chiller Technician performs the following:
- Maintenance, trouble shoot and repair on centrifugal chillers and associated components
- Tear down and rebuild of chillers to manufacturers specification
- All necessary rigging of equipment
- System analysis and logging of operating parameter
- Consults with customers regarding problems or issues concerning their equipment
- Document of all work preformed
- Working with service coordination to schedule work load
- Handle refrigerants to EPA standards
- Perform additional tasks as assigned on other types of equipment.
Qualification Requirements The candidate must possess the following abilities and skills:
- A minimum of six years’ experience working on Centrifugal chillers
- Knowledge of rigging equipment and safe rigging techniques
- Knowledge of precision measuring equipment
- Experience in equipment tear down and rebuild
- Ability to analyze and interpret equipment log reports
- Diagnose and resolve operational problems
- Good written, verbal and listening communications skills
- Competent in WISHA/OSHA job site safety requirements
- Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:
- Ability to frequently lift or carry 20 to 75 pounds and assist with lifting or carrying up to 125 lbs. or more when necessary
- Physical requirements include full range of motion, under all types of weather conditions, at and above ground level
- Must be capable of working ten to twelve hour days when job/business needs demand
